Restoring use rather than replacing
A door that rubs is almost never a door to replace. The timber has moved with the damp, the hinges have dropped, or a carpet has given way to thicker flooring. Adjusting the hinges is often enough; failing that, planing the bottom edge or the lock side restores use without anything showing once the door is closed.
Hardware is the second strand: handles, levers, internal door locks, euro cylinders, bolts, spyholes, door limiters. Changing a cylinder is the most requested job — after a move, a lost key or a separation. Nothing needs breaking: the cylinder comes out with one fixing screw and goes back in minutes, provided both lengths have been measured correctly.
The family also covers furniture repair: cupboard hinges torn out, drawers off their runners, tired slides, legs come loose. Finally, laying laminate flooring — with cut-to-size work, underlay, and skirting or beading to finish — belongs to this chapter when the room is empty and the existing floor is sound.
The order of checks
Where it rubs
Top, bottom or lock side: the contact point names the cause, and rarely the one you expected.
The hinges
Tighten, pack out or replace. Nine times out of ten the matter ends at this step.
Planing
If the clearance really is missing, only what is needed comes off, and the edge is finished so it still looks right.
The keep
Last adjustment: the latch should enter without force, the door closing under fingertip pressure.

Do you come out for a slammed door or lost keys?
No, emergency door opening is not offered: it is a separate trade with its own obligations and night availability. Once a locksmith has opened the door, however, replacing the cylinder and putting the hardware back in order is entirely within scope, by appointment.
Should I buy the cylinder in advance?
The simplest route is to measure together before buying: a cylinder is defined by two lengths, taken from the central screw inwards and outwards. Five millimetres out gives a cylinder that either protrudes or sits proud — in both cases it means another trip to the shop.
Can laminate flooring go over tiles?
Yes, if the tiling is flat, uncracked and properly bonded, with a suitable underlay on top. The new floor height has to be anticipated: a few millimetres are enough to stop a door opening, which often means taking it off and planing its bottom edge in the same visit.
Describe the symptom
"It rubs bottom right since the rain" says more than any standard quotation. A few seconds of video is worth gold.
