The calendar appointments: the March restart, the October close-down, and the weeks when you are not there.
Four appointments in the year
Opening the garden in spring restarts everything after winter: first mow, scarifying, cleaning paths and terraces, restorative pruning of shrubs, garden furniture brought back into service. It is the visit that sets the tone for the whole season.
Closing it in autumn prepares for winter: last mow, full leaf collection, cutting back perennials, protecting frost-sensitive plants, storing and cleaning the furniture, clearing gutters choked with leaves. Toulouse winters are mild, but one late frost is enough to damage whatever was left out.
In between, upkeep during absences answers a very concrete worry: leaving for three weeks in August and coming back to a parched garden and a lawn turned to hay. Watering on agreed days, mowing if needed, collecting the post if you wish, and a message with a photo confirming each visit.
In winter, finally, snow clearing and gritting of accesses remain available for private drives and residential entrances. It is rare in Toulouse, but when snow does fall everyone asks on the same morning — an arrangement made in advance beats an emergency call.

How does upkeep work while I am away?
The visit days are fixed before you leave, along with the watering instructions and the agreed access. After each visit you receive a message with one or two photographs. Nothing else on the property is touched: the arrangement covers only what was written down.
When should the spring opening be booked?
Around mid-March in the Toulouse area, once the risk of hard frost has passed and the first growth is under way. Too early, scarifying damages a lawn still dormant; too late, the grass is already long and the first mow becomes a rescue job.
Is snow clearing available at short notice?
Only for clients who arranged it in advance. A snowfall brings the whole conurbation to a halt for a few hours and every request arrives at once: without a prior arrangement, a same-day visit cannot be guaranteed.
